Our Marrakech to Ouzoud Day Trip kicks off bright and early at 8:30 AM, departing from Marrakech in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. We’ll pick you up at your hotel or the closest accessible point to your riad.

The journey itself is part of the experience, as we cut through the  picturesque Tadla plains dotted with olive groves and argan trees, and traditional Berber villages clinging to hillsides. As we gradually ascend into the Atlas foothills, we will be stopping midway for you to get a quick snack or to stretch your legs.

After the scenic three-hour drive, we will arrive at the village of Ouzoud. The  starting point of our Ouzoud waterfalls excursion is at the top of the falls where you get the above scenery. You’ll have the opportunity to enlist a local guide for only 3 euros per person, who will give you a brief history of the area including more about the olive trees.

Before you begin your leisurely downhill walk to the sources, your small group of up to 17 will be given the option to visit some Berber villages or hike down to a swimming area separate from the falls. After, your guide will round you up to go over the main Ouzoud falls area. 

Walk up over a stair-stepped cliff face to the first viewpoint of the falls. The sight is sure to impress: a 110-meter high Ouzoud cascade tumbles over ochre-colored cliffs, its constant flow carving the dramatic gorge below. We will pause here to take in the panorama adorned with a mesmerizing permanent rainbow.

The next view point is where you will find some of the local Barbary apes. You will then walk past this area to another viewpoint which gives you some stunning views of the gorge itself. For those seeking a closer encounter, we will provide the option of a short boat ride to the very foot of the falls. 

We will then break for lunch at a local restaurant strategically positioned for prime waterfall views. Our ascent follows a different route, offering new perspectives on the falls and valley. We will take it slow, with stops to admire Ouzoud from various vantage points. Before we depart, there’s time to peruse the work of local artisans. 

We will then reunite with our driver for the return journey to Marrakech. We will have you back in Marrakech between 7 and 8 PM, dropping you off where we began: your hotel or the nearest point to your riad. This marks the end of your day tour Marrakech to Ouzoud waterfalls.
